After dinner, I noticed a large white mountain glistening in the evening sun. I used binoculars and pleasantly discovered it was Labuche Kang (7367m, also called Lobuche Kang I or Choksiam). The first ascent of Labuche Kang was by a Chinese-Japanese team led by Yamamori that succeeded in 1987 after a first exploration carried on the year before.
